Do Your Homework!
Learn as much as possible about the position, the company, and the interviewers themselves.
The more detailed information you have about the company and the position, the better prepared
and more interested you appear. If possible, visit the company's website or go to the library and
research the company.

Don't Be Rushed...
Arrive 15 minutes early, try to relax and be yourself. Be thorough and truthful in completing
the application, including filling in all of the blanks. Do not get impatient or irritable if kept
waiting past the appointment time. Even if the company's dress code is "casual", you should
always dress your "business best" for the interview. Remember to extend a firm handshake
and smile! You should show interest and enthusiasm initially, and throughout the interviewing
process. Sometimes a candidate takes the "convince me" attitude toward the company and
the interest and enthusiasm which the interviewer is looking for comes too late!
Ask Questions!
No matter how thorough the employer is during the interview, you must ask questions; this
demonstrates your level of interest and your thinking ability. Do not discuss your salary
requirements, unless pressured to do so. We will negotiate on your behalf and in your
best interest. Remember, there is nothing to negotiate unless you get an offer of employment!
Let Them Know You Want The Job
Ask them to consider you for this position! Also, good communication with us is vital! Be
sure and call our office after the interview, before we speak with the client. Not only do
we appreciate the professional courtesy, but we may be able to address any questions or
concerns you may have.
Finally, it is always a good idea to send a "Thank You" note to the interviewer.
